Leadership Style Lens Series

Distributed leadership exposes patterns. What may go unnoticed in shared office space becomes amplified when teams operate across distance. The REMOTE Leadership Style Lens series provides a structured way to evaluate how your leadership style influences Relationships, Empowerment, Mindset, Objectives, Technology, and Engagement. These tools are designed to help you see where your strengths create momentum and where overuse may create friction. Greater awareness expands leadership choice. Expanded choice strengthens leadership effectiveness.

How to Use Each Lens

Review each pillar through the lens of your dominant leadership style. Identify one strength that you intentionally leverage and one risk that may surface when that style is overused. Pay attention to the reflection questions, as they are designed to surface patterns rather than isolated behaviors. The goal is not to change who you are as a leader, but to expand your awareness so you can lead with greater precision across distributed environments.

As you move across the six pillars, notice whether similar strengths or risks appear repeatedly. Leadership patterns rarely show up in isolation. If a particular amplification or overuse tendency surfaces in multiple areas, that repetition signals a broader leadership dynamic worth examining. Distributed environments magnify patterns. Awareness allows you to choose when to lean into your natural style and when to adjust it intentionally.
