REMOTE Leadership Assessment

The REMOTE Leadership Assessment is designed to help you translate the REMOTE Leadership Framework into personal reflection and action. It invites you to pause and evaluate how consistently your day-to-day leadership behaviors align with the principles discussed throughout the book. It is not a test of personality or intent, but a snapshot of leadership practice in its current form. Used honestly, it can help you identify where your leadership is serving your team well and where small, intentional shifts could make the greatest difference.

How to Use This Assessment

This assessment is designed to help you evaluate how consistently your leadership practices align with the REMOTE Leadership Framework. It focuses on observable behaviors rather than intentions or preferences.  Rate each statement based on how accurately it reflects your current leadership practice, not how you aspire to lead.

There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is to identify where you have the greatest opportunities for leadership development.

Practice Guides

The pillar of the REMOTE Leadership Framework in which you scored lowest highlights the leadership behaviors most likely to limit your effectiveness in a distributed environment. In remote and hybrid settings, these gaps are rarely dramatic. More often, they show up quietly through friction, hesitation, or disengagement that builds over time.

The Practice Guides are personalized based on your REMOTE Leadership Assessment results and designed to help you focus first on the area where targeted attention can make the greatest difference.

After completing the assessment, you’ll receive guidance by email about which Practice Guide to use first.
